The artist's words

“C’est mon travail” (“This is my work”) is an ode to creativity and to the dignity of manual labour. The artist stages his former working tools: rollers, brushes, face masks, an airbrush, tape, paint cans and spray cans, as well as a paint gun. By giving them a new life on the canvas, he turns everyday objects into elements of art, symbolically weaving together effort, memory and passion. Made in acrylic on canvas, the work illustrates his commitment to reducing waste and to giving materials new value. The fluorescent colours energise the composition and evoke the artist’s inner light, the one that drives him to create despite constraints. Through this work, he proudly lays claim to his trade, turning the trace of labour into beauty, and the tool into a symbol of artistic expression.
